Welcome To The S. V. "WIND DANCER" Web Site

Sailing Vessel WIND DANCER is a Cooper Yachts 353 Pilot House Sail Boat built in 1981 by the Canadian Yacht Builder Cooper Yachts of Port Coquitlam, B.C. Canada. Jim Matei purchased the vessel privately at Fisherman's Bay on Lopez Island Washington State on September 2004. Wind Dancer was imported back into Canada and the vessel was completely professionally rebuilt and all systems prepared for a trip up into the Inside Passage, The Queen Charlotte Islands and Alaska.

The Volvo Penta MD 11D Engine was completely disassembled and rebuilt using all new Original Volvo Penta Engine Parts supplied by Islands Marine Center on Lopez Island. This is a very unique Marine Supply Store coupled with a Napa Auto Parts Store with over 35 Years of Marine and Mechanical Experience. No doubt the finest and freindliest Marine Store I have ever visitied.

The Bottom has been sanded and covered with Petit Trinidad Bottom Paint.

The Hull has been Polished removing all Oxidized Gel Coat and Wax Applied.
